Founded by Kennedy Thompson from northwest Pennsylvania, One World
Tribe was created to bring together musicians of various musical and
ethnic backgrounds in order to break down social and racial barriers.
One World Tribe is a musical feast. It is an afro-beat, funk, reggae,
Latin and world beat orchestra with a myriad of musicians, dancers and
extras.
Doc Rock of the Erie Daily Times wrote, "One World Tribe covers music
styles like water covers the globe."
Showcasing an even mixture of black, white, Asian and Latino members,
One World Tribe's musicians are as diverse as the group's sound. They
hail from all over the world, including Jamaica, Sudan, and Senegal.
Seeing and hearing One World Tribe is a true multicultural experience.
There will be just one performance, at 8 p.m. July 24 at the
foundation, 120 Long Beach Blvd, Loveladies. Admission to the program is
$10 for foundation members, $15 for nonmembers and $5 for children.
